The last ten years have seen a big shift in how people access care and support. The concepts of personalised care and choice & control are increasingly at the centre of how local authorities and NHS organisations think about care and support.

Direct payments and personal health budgets are a part of this.  They enable you to manage your own pot of funding and arrange the care and support that matters to you.  This is truly empowering and can be life-changing, as it is an alternative to traditional care arrangements involving care homes or home care agencies arranged for you by your council or the NHS.

A simpler way to manage your Direct Payment

What we do

Since 2008, we have been working with local authorities & the NHS and their citizens to make direct payments easy

Direct payments is all we do.  We can help you at every stage of the process, from thinking about if a direct payment is right for you, through to taking care of paying your PAs for you.

We’ve developed an easy-to-use digital platform for direct payments, called Virtual Wallet.  Thousands of people use it to manage their direct payments themselves.  However, it's good to know that our team of 45 staff are on hand to help you whenever you need.

Our direct payment service is all wrapped up in what we call Virtual Wallet.  To read more about direct payments, what we do and how we can help, go to the My Virtual Wallet website to read more.

Did you know?

Although there are subtle differences, the terminology ‘direct payment’, ‘personal budget’ and ‘personal health budget’ all mean broadly the same thing.
