Summer PA Web User Group
Overview
On Tuesday 4th June we held the Summer PPL PA Web User Group, which was attended by representatives from 6 of the current PA Web platforms across England and Wales and several PPL colleagues. The meeting followed the success of the inaugural PA Web User Group which took place earlier in the year.
The User Group focused on the value of information, feedback and explored the performance of the PA Recruitment Tool across the board and looked at reporting metrics.
Hampshire PA Web as an ‘Information Hub’
Michael Grimmett, Service Engagement Assistant, spoke to the group about his ambition of making Hampshire PA Web a one stop-shop for everything a potential PA or employer might need to know. Hampshire have engaged in extensive user testing and feedback to make sure that the information and resources are relevant to end users of the site.
Michael’s presentation inspired the other attendees to look at the quality of information and resources on their sites going forward.
Roundtable
The meeting gave attendees opportunity to share their experience with the PA Recruitment Tool:
- BSW ICB – BSW’s PA Web has recently gone live and the ICB is working on a marketing plan to promote the solution.
- East Riding Council – East Riding have been working in partnership with Yorkshire in Business to onboard PAs and Employers. This model continues to be very successful with a steady trickle of employer vacancies and PAs added to the site monthly.
- Kent County Council - Kent have got approximately 80 employers that use this site to try and recruit a PA. Kent are considering a marketing campaign and the use of a newsletter to drive engagement on the site.
- Powys County Council – Powys PA Web has recently seen the inclusion of Employer Vacancies, which will help grow the reach and value of the site. Powys are looking at adding information and resources for users as added value.
- Trafford Council - Trafford have been attending local events such as local job clubs, which has driven PA engagement and sign-ups. Trafford currently working on the CV Builder tool.
Outcome
The meeting was a success and generated a lot of ideas for driving engagement with the PA Webs through information.
The next meeting will be scheduled for Autumn 2025.
