Digital Delivery Webinar: Understanding Analytics & Optimising SEO

On Tuesday 6th May, as part of our ongoing commitment to support our Digital Delivery clients, PPL facilitated a webinar focused on “Understanding Analytics and Optimising SEO” on PPL’s IAG websites. The webinar was well-attended, with over 20 delegates representing 12 of PPL's Local Authority clients.

SEO is a vital aspect of delivering a successful Information, Advice and Guidance website and this webinar focused on practical tips to help improve SEO, how to use analytics, and content/SEO best practice to drive site traffic.

Optimising SEO

PPL explored what SEO is and why it matters to attendees. There were several useful tips and reminders for attendees of how to improve the SEO of their IAG website, including looking at keywords/meta tags, accessibility and the quality of content.

Understanding Analytics

Next, PPL looked at Analytics and explained to attendees why they matter and how they can be used to improve the user experience of using the site. PPL also explained how in addition to using SEO to drive analytics, traditional and digital marketing play a part in improving site performance.

Roundtable

Attendees had the opportunity to share their journey with SEO and Analytics, see some key highlights from the discussion below:

  • Sharing of Tools/Sites to help with SEO
  • Discussion of how AI might help review content and support with keywords/descriptions
  • Sharing of sites/links between bordering Local Authority clients
  • Consideration of how SEO best practice works with Directory Pages

Outcomes

All attendees received a SEO checklist to take away with them after the meeting, as a reminder of the key points. Feedback for the webinar was very positive and the Digital Delivery team will be running future webinars for clients across a range of relevant subjects.
